Today (or yesterday depending on when you read this) I had a quick discussion or squat therapy with a few folks. Here’s one take on squat therapy taught by Chris Spealler. Essentially the goal is to train your body to be able to squat with your torso upright, as upright as possible. Draw a vertical line through your hip and shoulder while in the bottom of your squat, the smaller the distance, the better the squat. However remember you must maintain lumbar curve, weight in the heels and knees out. All the regular squat points of performance. We recommend that pretty much EVERYONE works on squat therapy each week and even each trip to the gym. A good squat doesn’t just happen and doing the wods isn’t enough to improve your squat ability. It requires very focused effort of lifting your chest while squatting.

    For some reason this sounded like it was going to be fun. I was looking forward to this workout. It was awful. Thanks for nothing wallballs
